The Fading Stars--A Fox Pack

I padded out from the hole she was living in. "Kavik," She called into the dark night sky. Thousands of stars were shining. I stared At it in sadness, remembering my mother and father.We'll be apart of the stars some day, yong Frolic, Mother had said while I was playing. Don't you ever forget us, Her last words. I sighed, and felt a tear trickle down my furry face. I padded into the forest, to test my hunting skills, for I was famished, and by now, parched. I padded to the lake, and drank some water. After that, I darted after a vole. Of course it escaped, but it looked so good! I sighed.

I padded back to my small stock of prey-creatures. Gathering the rabbit and pigeon in my jaws, I padded back to camp, carefully over the tree-bridge. Dropping the rabbit in the fresh-kill pile, I toook the pigeon over to my den, right below the Oak of Stars, and bit in.

Soren looked around in the unfamiliar forest. She had been resting here for some time now, maybe 4 nights, but she was unsure. Soren had been staying away from the foxes that came around here, especially the one male. Her fur and skin were sagging from lack of food, she was hungry. She would go anywhere to get some food. Maybe killing that male might feed me. She thought.

(I'm here!Sparkle, we have to wait at least 5 days before the alpha male and our females can even have feelings for each other...we can't just pick Alpha female...I thought that was one of the rules..^_^)

Sage blinked amusingly at Kavik as he too fell into a mud puddle. "Last night's rain did no good here!" she huffed, standing up and swating some mud off her own ear. She returned to where she had burried the Blue Jay and and dug it up, wiping the sticky muc off of it. "Well, this is all I got. What about you?"

Can Celestian have alaways been in the pack? Thnx!

Celestian moved quickly through the forest, hoping to find Kavik. "Kavik? Kavik??" she howled wanting a reply badly.

Soren heard another fox wailing for 'Kavik'. "Shut up, you furball!" She yowled back, annoyed.

Frolic padded outside of her hole, sensing that she would have a lot of work today. Padding to the lake, she slurped some water, and then tried to hunt. She chased after another vole, and missed it, and the scurried after a deer. Nothing. She sighed, and padded back to the lake. As she swiped at a fish, and suprisingly, caught it! "Yay!" She said aloud.

Haring another foxes call, and a nasty reply from another, Frolic pricked her ears back. "Hello?" She called. "Celestian?" She called. Seeing another fox, Frolic stared at it. "Who are you?" She asked the fox. {Soren};)

"Celestian?!" Frolic saw the fox grow near to the other fox. "Who's this!?!" Frolic glared at the fox. "I've never seen her before!!" Frolic announced in anger.

Frolic stared at the ground. She still had the fish she had caught a few minutes ago in front of her. Frolic didn't want this other wolf to starve to death, but she was hungry too. Frolic bit into the fish, and chewed.

[Soren!! Frolic is smaller than Celestian! Not bigger!

I looked up from my tasty kill. "Do I ever get a rest?" I grumbled, standing up and heading toward where I heard snarling. At first I thought it was just a few vixens arguing, but as I got nearer, I saw vixens fighting! "Hey!" I snarled. "Stop! All of you!" I lashed my bushy red tail, eyes blazing.

"Cat-brain?" I echoed. "Please. If you want some food and a place to stay, you'll keep your tongue to yourself." I felt shocked at the vixen's condition. "Frolic, Celestian, back off. No offense, but I don't think she'll do much damage," I added. "Follow me," I ordered immediately. "Or I will have these two escort you off my territory."
